After six trips, the packing list is pretty well set. Sad, that, as it does cut down on the opportunities to buy new cool stuff (first world problems…)
Aside from the bike, covered in an earlier post, here’s what gets me by for three weeks on the road:
- Visa card. :-), wallet and passport
- Bike gear includes:
- multi-tool, basic lights, spare spokes, extra tubes, zip-ties, electrical tape…
- Electronic:
- Camera, travel tripod, iPad, iPhone, GPS, extra batteries, chargers…
- Clothes:
- 2 pairs of padded bike shorts (wash the one’s you wear when you get into camp each day and let it dry on the back of the bike the next day…)
- Mtn biking biking shorts with pockets
- 2 biking jerseys and a dry tee
- couple pairsof regular underwear
- 3 pairs of socks
- 2 pars biking gloves
- light runners
- biking shoes
- light rain pants, light rain shell, booties
- light sweater
- zip-off leg travel pants/shorts

- sunglasses
- Camping gear
- tent
- inflatable mattress
- light sleeping bag

All packed up, it’s around 30 lb in the panniers…
