Canal du Garonne, Day Two

Canal du Garonne, Day Two

From: Camp “au Jardin” To: Camping “le Moulin de Mellet” along the Canal de Garonne: 81 km

So I said something in the last post about whether this could get boring or not.  Well, not yet.  But writing about it might be.  It’s hot, so it’s a 6am wake up call, clean up and pack the gear back onto the bikes.  Buy a couple cold brewksi’s (yes, a theme has been formed) for the panniers, find a bakery for a couple of croissants or a sandwich, and hit the canal path…

By the way, this is a canal, on a bridge, running over a river.  We’d cross a few of these along the way to the Med…

Comfy way to do du Canal

Beers are retrieved from the panniers somewhere along the route, and with a stop for lunch along the way, we eventually make it to the camping. “Le Moulin de Mellet”, off of the the bike path by a km or so, and up a..hill?  What’s THAT all about? It’s a high falutin’ camp with a down-home entrance.

Goats and chickens at the entrance!  Wait… is that dinner?
